Role Description The Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care to patients, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and performing restorative, preventive, and minor surgical procedures. Daily responsibilities include taking and interpreting dental radiographs, administering local anesthesia, performing cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other indicated treatments, and maintaining accurate, confidential patient records. The Dentist will educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment options, and preventive care, while collaborating with dental assistants and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient clinic operations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sharjah, requiring consistent presence during clinic hours and adherence to all clinical and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Professional dental qualifications: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent from an accredited institution; valid license or eligibility to practice dentistry in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Clinical expertise in general dentistry: competency in examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures (fillings, crowns), preventive care, and basic oral surgery.
- Technical skills: proficiency in using dental instruments and equipment, taking and interpreting X-rays, and working with dental software or electronic health records.
- Patient care and communication: strong interpersonal skills, ability to explain treatment options clearly, provide compassionate care, and work effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Professional and ethical standards: commitment to infection control, safety protocols, confidentiality, and evidence-based practice; attention to detail and sound clinical judgment.
- Teamwork and organization: ability to collaborate with dental assistants and administrative staff, manage time effectively, and handle a steady patient schedule.
- Preferred experience: prior clinical experience in a dental clinic or hospital setting; familiarity with regional healthcare regulations; fluency in Arabic is an advantage
