We are Hiring | Contract Specialist (Human Rights & Contractor Compliance)

We are looking for an experienced Contract Specialist to manage contractor compliance with contractual, labor, human rights, and worker welfare requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and monitor contractor compliance with contractual requirements, applicable laws, and human rights standards.
- Interpret contract requirements and monitor contractor performance against compliance obligations.
- Identify compliance gaps, non-conformities, risks, and required corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance registers, trackers, records, and supporting documentation.
- Engage with contractors to resolve compliance issues and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Legal, HR, Sustainability, and HSE teams on contractor compliance matters.
- Monitor compliance related to employment practices, worker welfare, recruitment, wages, working hours, accommodation, non-discrimination, and freedom of movement.
- Monitor requirements related to the prevention of forced labor, modern slavery, and child labor.
- Participate in audits, inspections, assessments, and worker engagement activities.
- Prepare compliance reports, management updates, performance summaries, and recommendations.
- Draft and manage contractor correspondence, including compliance notices, clarification requests, non-conformance notifications, and corrective action communications.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Sustainability, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in contract administration, contractor compliance, labor compliance, human rights, worker welfare, or related areas.
- Experience in construction, mining, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Oman Labor Law and worker welfare requirements.
- Strong understanding of international human rights standards, ethical recruitment, modern slavery, and forced labor requirements.
- Experience in compliance auditing, corrective action management, and contractor performance monitoring.
- Strong contract review, communication, reporting, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage contractor engagements and sensitive compliance matters with professionalism and integrity.
