The Opportunity
We are conducting a confidential search for an exceptional Chief Investment Officer to lead the investment strategy, investment platform, product innovation, and capital markets activities of a rapidly growing investment business.
This is not a traditional portfolio management role.
The successful candidate will combine institutional investment expertise with commercial leadership, bringing the ability to design investment products, originate investment opportunities, raise institutional capital, and build scalable investment platforms serving sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors, family offices and high-net-worth clients.
The CIO will play a central role in shaping the firm's future investment strategy while partnering closely with Executive Management and the Board to drive long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
- Develop and execute the firm's investment strategy across public and private markets.
- Lead strategic asset allocation and portfolio construction across multiple asset classes.
- Provide investment recommendations to Executive Management, Investment Committee and Board.
Develop investment policies, governance frameworks and portfolio risk management processes.
Monitor macroeconomic developments, capital markets and emerging investment opportunities globally.
Investment Platform & Product Development
Lead the development, structuring and launch of institutional investment products.
Design and oversee:
- Listed investment funds
- Private investment funds
- Alternative investment funds
- SMAs
- Co-investment platforms
- Structured products
- Bespoke institutional mandates
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Finance and Distribution to successfully commercialize investment solutions.
- Develop differentiated investment propositions for institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurers, family offices and UHNW clients.
- Partner with distribution teams to support fundraising initiatives, investor presentations and product positioning.
Investment Origination & Transaction Execution
Lead the sourcing and execution of investment opportunities across multiple asset classes

- Build and lead a high-performing investment organization.
- Develop investment professionals across research, portfolio management, product development and investment execution.
- Promote a culture of disciplined investment decision-making, innovation, collaboration and commercial excellence.
- Serve as the principal investment adviser to Executive Management and the Board.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline
- MBA or Master's degree preferred
- CFA, CAIA or equivalent professional qualification highly desirable
- 15+ years of relevant investment experience
- Proven experience in institutional investment management, investment banking, capital markets, private markets or alternative investments
- Experience presenting to Boards and Investment Committees
