We are supporting a growing European renewable energy business in the appointment of a Chief Commercial Officer to lead and further develop its commercial strategy across a diversified portfolio of renewable energy assets.
Based in Munich, the role will have responsibility for developing and executing the commercial strategy across solar, wind and battery storage, with particular focus on PPA/offtake, tolling, hedging and route-to-market structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and further develop the commercial function
- Structure, negotiate and execute PPAs and other offtake agreements
- Develop tolling, hedging and route-to-market strategies
- Drive revenue optimisation across solar, wind, BESS and co-located projects
- Manage relationships with utilities, corporates, traders and other market participants
- Work closely with development, investment and asset management teams
Candidate Profile
- Significant commercial experience within renewable energy / power markets
- Deep expertise in PPA and offtake structuring and negotiation
- Strong knowledge of the German energy market
- Experience across solar, wind and/or battery storage
- Experience building or developing commercial teams/functions would be highly advantageous
- Exposure to additional European power markets would be advantageous
- Senior commercial experience within a renewable energy developer, IPP, utility, energy trader or similar environment
