About The PositionThe Cards and Acceptance division is seeking a Financial Control & Analytics Manager to own the financial truth of the division. In this high-visibility role, you will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of every money flow by owning reconciliation and settlement end-to-end, while building and maintaining the single source of truth for financial reporting, business insights, and analytics. You will transform trusted numbers into actionable insights that shape portfolio and business decisions, working at the intersection of finance and data with direct exposure to the CEO and Executive Committee. What You'll Do
- Reconciliation & Settlement: Own exact, complete reconciliation and settlement across all internal accounts, scheme/network flows, clearing files, invoices and inter-account movements—including issuing↔acceptance—with daily, deadline-bound accuracy and zero breaks
- Financial Control: Maintain the control framework—segregation of duties, audit trails, documented procedures—to satisfy internal and external audit and regulators; own break investigation and escalation
- Reporting & Single Source of Truth: Own one consistent set of metric definitions and produce all divisional reporting—operational dashboards, monthly ExCo reporting, and regulatory/scheme inputs
- Business Insights & Analytics: Deliver portfolio and market analysis, unit economics and portfolio optimization to drive product and business decisions
- Leadership: Lead and develop the Reconciliation & Settlement and Reporting & Analytics team
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related analytical field; accounting/finance qualification a plus
- 4+ years in payments/cards finance, settlement/reconciliation, financial control or FP&A—in a bank, card issuer/processor or fintech
- Understand cards and schemes accounting (Visa/Mastercard settlement, interchange, clearing files) and hands-on reconciliation: ledger balancing, break investigation, controls
- Strong reporting and analytics: business insights, portfolio optimization, unit economics, dashboards; fluent in SQL/BI and Excel
- Strong control mindset, people management, and the credibility to present numbers to the CEO and ExCo; trilingual EN/FR/AR an advantage
Nice To Have
- Accounting or finance qualification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent)
- Trilingual English / French / Arabic
- Prior experience in a card issuer, processor, or high-growth fintech environment
- Exposure to regulatory and scheme reporting requirement
Technical Skills
- SQL and BI/dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker); advanced Excel
- Cards and scheme accounting: Visa/Mastercard settlement, interchange, clearing files
- Hands-on reconciliation: ledger balancing, break investigation, financial controls
- Reporting and analytics: unit economics, portfolio optimization, KPI/metric design
