Job Summary The AML Analyst is responsible for reviewing and assessing electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) forms, making informed decisions to approve or decline applications based on internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves screening applicants against local and international sanctions lists, resolving screening alerts, and monitoring transactions for suspicious activity in compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations.

• Perform customer onboarding and verification processes to ensure compliance with KYC regulatios.
• Conduct initial and ongoing due diligence for new and existing customers, including document collection and vali

• Ensure that PEP and non-Iraqi clients are not approved without the prior approval of the head of the departent.
• Evaluating customer documents to ensure adherence to required standards and compliance r
e
gulaions.
• Assess and document customer risk ratings based on gathered inforation.
• Ensure that customer profiles are kept up-to-date and accurate in th
e
KYC dtabase.
• Conduct name screening for sanctions, watchlists, PEPs, and adverse media alerts using specializd tools.
• Investigate and resolve potential matches, escalating unresolved
c
ases as ecessary.
• Identify gaps in KYC processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and effctiveness.
• Escalate potential matches to the head of the department and ensure thorough resolut

Education • A bachelor’s degree in financial specializations such us (financial management, financial and banking sciences or any other rlated filed)
