Role Description The Advanced Nondestructive Testing Level III role is a full-time, on-site position based in Oman. The individual in this role will lead and oversee advanced NDT activities, including the development, qualification, and approval of NDT procedures in accordance with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising and mentoring Level I and Level II personnel, reviewing and interpreting test results, and ensuring that inspection work meets regulatory, client, and company requirements. The role involves coordinating testing schedules, optimizing inspection methods, and supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions for identified defects. The Level III professional will also collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality assurance processes, provide technical guidance to training and certification efforts, and maintain documentation for audits and compliance.
Qualifications
- * Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and the ability to interpret complex NDT data and standards.
- Candidates should possess solid Testing and Software Testing skills relevant to advanced NDT methods and digital inspection tools.
- Candidates should possess experience in designing and reviewing Test Cases and inspection procedures for various NDT techniques.
- Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills for reporting results, coordinating with teams, and interacting with clients.
- Advanced NDT Level III certification (e.g., ASNT or equivalent) in relevant methods such as UT, RT, MT, PT, VT is required or strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or related heavy industry inspection environments.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO) and their practical application in field inspections.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, materials science, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor NDT personnel, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
