Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Jounieh. This position oversees the academy’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for multiple branches. Daily responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, preparing and analyzing monthly and annual financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate general ledger entries. The Financial Controller will maintain internal controls, support audits, ensure compliance with local financial regulations, and optimize financial processes and systems. The role also involves working closely with management to provide financial insights, support strategic decisions, and contribute to long-term financial planning for the academy’s growth.
Qualifications
- * Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with financial reporting tools and accounting software; advanced Excel skills are highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a collaborative environment and manage relationships across multiple branches.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior accounting role, ideally within multi-site or service-oriented organizations.
- Interest in sports or youth development environments is an advantage.
