BLACKBULL LAW HOUSE, a corporate legal and LegalTech organization working in coordination with the BLACKBULL Chamber of Investment, is developing an integrated platform connecting legal management, investment structuring, project finance, asset management, banking relationships, and institutional capital.
BLACKBULL is expanding its financial and investment relationships across the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, with the objective of developing international capital channels for commercially viable projects and businesses in India.
The group is seeking an experienced Director of Project Finance capable of building institutional relationships across GCC markets and converting those relationships into structured financing, investment, banking, and asset-management opportunities for Indian projects.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Project Finance will lead BLACKBULL's project-finance, fundraising, asset-management, banking-credit, and institutional investment initiatives across the GCC–India corridor.
This position requires more than general business development. The selected professional must understand how a project moves from concept and financial modelling through investor presentation, due diligence, credit assessment, term-sheet negotiation, security structuring, documentation, capital deployment, and financial closure.
The Director will focus particularly on new and pre-revenue Indian projects that have identifiable commercial potential, underlying assets, business cash flows, contractual opportunities, scalable revenue models, or other credible sources of future value.
The objective is to transform such opportunities into institutionally presentable and financeable projects.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Finance & Capital Structuring
Lead the financial structuring of new Indian projects and determine the appropriate combination of:
- Project finance
- Corporate finance
- Structured debt
- Private credit
- Equity investment
- Strategic investment
- Asset-backed finance
- Acquisition finance
- Working-capital facilities
- Mezzanine or hybrid structures
- Revenue or profit participation
- Joint ventures and co-investment structures
The Director must understand the difference between financing established businesses and structuring capital for pre-revenue or early-stage projects, where investment decisions depend heavily on project economics, promoter capability, asset coverage, execution strategy, future cash flows, governance, and risk mitigation.
- Fundraising
Take direct responsibility for developing fundraising channels for BLACKBULL and qualified Indian projects.
The Director should establish and maintain relationships with:
Banks | Investment Funds | Family Offices | Private Credit Funds | PE/VC Funds | Institutional Investors | Corporate Investors | Asset Managers | Development Finance Institutions | Strategic Investors | HNW/UHNW Investors
Preference will be given to candidates who already maintain active relationships in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Riyadh and the broader GCC financial ecosystem.
The candidate should be capable of moving beyond introductions and actively coordinating investor discussions, financial presentations, due diligence, negotiations, term sheets and transaction closure.
- NEW BANK & NBFC DEVELOPMENT
A major component of this position will involve supporting BLACKBULL's proposed development of new banking and financial channels in India.
The Director may participate in:
- New banking-channel development.
- NBFC investment and development strategies.
- Identification of suitable banking or financial-sector partnerships.
- Capital raising for regulated financial ventures.
- Institutional investor alliances.
- Banking technology and financial-platform development.
- Credit and lending partnerships.
- Escrow and transaction-management structures.
- Strategic collaborations between Indian and GCC financial institutions.
The candidate should understand banking capitalization, credit, financial assets, institutional risk, regulatory capital considerations, and the commercial requirements associated with building or investing in regulated financial businesses.
All regulated banking, NBFC, lending, investment-management and financial-service activities will remain subject to applicable licences, regulatory approvals and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- ASSET MANAGEMENT & ASSET-BACKED FINANCING
The Director should have strong knowledge of asset management and the ability to evaluate how Indian assets can support project financing.
Relevant asset categories may include:
Commercial Property | Industrial Assets | Business Assets | Operating Companies | Financial Assets | Receivables | Contractual Cash Flows | Acquisition Portfolios | Distressed Assets | Revenue-Producing Assets
Responsibilities will include understanding asset valuation, LTV considerations, collateral quality, security enforceability, cash-flow generation, downside protection and exit strategy.
The objective is to develop professionally evaluated portfolios that can be presented to international capital providers rather than relying solely on promoter-level fundraising.
- BANK CREDIT & STRUCTURED FINANCE
The successful candidate must understand how banks and institutional credit providers assess projects.
Knowledge should include:
- Credit appraisal
- Debt-service capability
- DSCR and cash-flow analysis
- Loan-to-value considerations
- Security and collateral structures
- Project feasibility
- Financial modelling
- Covenants
- Guarantees
- Credit enhancement
- Escrow mechanisms
- Debt restructuring
- Syndicated facilities
- Structured finance
- Refinancing
- Exit and repayment planning
The Director should be capable of determining whether a project is more suitable for bank credit, private credit, equity investment, strategic capital, or a blended structure.
- GCC–INDIA INVESTMENT CORRIDOR
The position will focus on developing relationships from UAE, Bahrain and Riyadh/Saudi Arabia for investment opportunities originating primarily in India.
The Director will be expected to establish relationships with international investors, banking institutions, corporate groups, asset managers and investment organizations interested in Indian opportunities.
The long-term objective is to create a scalable GCC–India project-finance platform capable of supporting multiple transactions rather than depending on a single fundraising mandate.
Any cross-border capital movement, foreign investment, security creation, financial return, dividend, interest, profit distribution or portfolio arrangement must comply with applicable Indian and GCC regulations.
PRE-REVENUE PROJECT EXPERIENCE
This position specifically requires someone who understands the challenges associated with pre-revenue projects.
BLACKBULL is developing projects that may currently be at the establishment, licensing, capitalization or commercialization stage but are intended to generate revenue through identifiable business models and underlying commercial opportunities.
The Director must therefore know how to present:
Market Opportunity + Asset Base + Business Model + Project Economics + Financial Forecasts + Governance + Management Capability + Risk Mitigation + Capital Requirement + Investor Return Strategy + Exit Strategy
A candidate who only understands conventional lending against historical balance sheets may not be suitable.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Candidates should preferably have 10–20+ years of relevant experience across one or more of the following areas:
Project Finance | Investment Banking | Corporate Banking | Fundraising | Asset Management | Private Credit | Structured Finance | Bank Credit | M&A | Acquisition Finance | NBFC Development | Institutional Investment
Strong preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate actual transactions involving substantial corporate or institutional capital.
KEY COMPETENCIES
The successful candidate should possess:
- Strong knowledge of project finance and financial modelling.
- Demonstrated fundraising capability.
- Understanding of banking and institutional credit.
- Experience evaluating assets and collateral.
- Knowledge of asset management and investment portfolios.
- Ability to structure debt and equity transactions.
- Understanding of pre-revenue project financing.
- Strong negotiation and transaction-management capabilities.
- Experience coordinating financial and commercial due diligence.
- Existing GCC investor or institutional relationships.
- Understanding of Indian corporate and financial markets.
- Ability to develop long-term international financial relationships.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
This is an execution-driven Director position.
Applicants should be prepared to explain:
- Their major project-finance or fundraising transactions.
- The approximate transaction sizes previously handled.
- Their existing institutional and investor relationships.
- Their ability to develop capital channels from UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
- Their experience financing Indian or emerging-market projects.
- Their understanding of pre-revenue project financing.
- Their experience with asset-backed financing and bank credit.
- Their proposed strategy for raising capital for BLACKBULL projects.
- Their realistic fundraising and transaction-execution timeline.
- The measurable value they can contribute during the first 6–12 months.
COMPENSATION & LONG-TERM PARTICIPATION
For a suitably qualified and execution-capable professional, BLACKBULL may offer:
Competitive Fixed Salary + Performance-Based Benefits + Transaction Incentives + Potential Equity Participation
Equity and enhanced compensation will be considered based on agreed responsibilities, successful capital mobilization, institutional relationships developed, transaction closures, long-term contribution, and achievement of defined milestones.
The position is therefore particularly suitable for a senior banking or investment professional seeking both an executive role and potential long-term participation in the platform.
THE MANDATE
BLACKBULL is not seeking a conventional advisor whose involvement ends with recommendations or introductions.
We are seeking a Director of Project Finance who understands banking, fundraising, asset management and institutional credit — and who can convert financial relationships into executable transactions.
The ultimate mandate is to help establish a sophisticated UAE–Bahrain–Saudi Arabia–India financial corridor capable of financing commercially viable Indian projects, developing new banking and NBFC opportunities, managing asset-backed investment structures, and building long-term relationships with international investors and financial institutions.
All fundraising, investment, banking, NBFC, asset-management and cross-border structures will be undertaken subject to applicable regulatory approvals, due diligence, investor acceptance and relevant laws in each jurisdiction.
