The Construction Operations Manager coordinates project managers, site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, warehouse/logistics teams, and other operational departments to ensure smooth execution of construction activities across all sites.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all construction sites.
- Coordinate multiple projects and prioritize resources based on project requirements.
- Monitor site productivity and operational efficiency.
- Review project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Ensure proper mobilization of manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Review material, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Coordinate with Finance and Procurement regarding project expenditures.
- Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of construction materials.
- Coordinate with Warehouse and Logistics teams regarding material deliveries to sites.
- Support supplier and subcontractor evaluation.
- Ensure construction equipment is properly allocated and utilized.
- Prepare regular operational reports for Area Manager.
- Report delays, risks, operational challenges, and corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant construction experience, with at least 3–5 years in a management position.
- Experience managing multiple construction projects or sites is strongly preferred. Strong ability to multitask
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, budgeting, procurement, and site operations.
