Role Description The Technical Office Engineer will support project teams by preparing, reviewing, and coordinating technical documents and drawings for ongoing construction projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Inshas, working closely with civil, electrical, and quantity surveying teams. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and updating shop drawings, preparing and verifying bills of quantities (BOQs), coordinating with site engineers, and ensuring that designs align with project specifications and standards. The role also involves assisting with cost estimates, tracking material quantities, and supporting technical documentation for project approvals. The Technical Office Engineer will contribute to problem-solving, help resolve discrepancies between drawings and site conditions, and maintain organized records for smooth project execution.
Qualifications
- * Strong technical proficiency in Shop Drawings and BOQ preparation, with the ability to interpret and coordinate construction documents.
- Background in Civil Engineering, with knowledge of structural and infrastructure works and relevant codes and standards.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles related to building services, power distribution, and coordination with civil designs.
- Experience or training in Quantity Surveying, including measurement, cost estimation, and verification of quantities against drawings and site conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in CAD software and common office tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office); familiarity with project management software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with capacity to coordinate between technical office and site teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Inshas, managing multiple tasks and meeting project deadlines.
