Leads electrical BIM modeling and design coordination, combining discipline-specific electrical review with the core supervisory and modeling responsibilities of a Senior BIM Engineer. Electrical-Specific Responsibilities
● Guide the team in clarifying electrical drawings for the project; join client meetings to discuss electrical drawings.
● Create and review electrical design drawings received from clients; study IFC packages and drawings and raise clarification requests as needed.
● Produce required model work (wet or dry models) as requested by the Team Leader. Team Supervision & Mentorship
● Supervise, delegate tasks to, and mentor junior BIM modelers; support skills development for junior and senior staff.
● Conduct internal coordination meetings and training sessions on tools, workflows, and standards. BIM Modeling & Technical Delivery
● Create detailed BIM models in Civil 3D (or other relevant tools), including plans, sections, elevations, and construction details.
● Extract 2D drawings, quantities (BOQs), and deliverables (shop drawings, submission sets, IFC exports) as required.
● Apply correct LOD, naming conventions, and file structures per internal BIM standards. Coordination & QA/QC
● Oversee clash detection and resolution across disciplines; act as the first line of QA/QC before submission to the Team Leader.
● Coordinate with discipline coordinators and design engineers for interdisciplinary integration.
● Report technical issues and progress to the Team Leader; maintain clean, up-to-date model files on shared platforms.
