The Role
We are looking for a Senior Impact Manager to own how impact is measured at Public Value Hub. Everything we do rests on one question: how do you tell whether a venture actually creates the impact it claims? Founders in the Public Value Academy answer it with their impact logic. Hub partners in the Social Impact Republic answer it with comparable indicator data. A new federally funded research project answers it for the sector as a whole. And our software products turn those answers into evidence funders and investors can use. Someone has to decide how all of that works methodologically: plan it, teach it, sell it. That’s your role. You work alongside our program management team, as well as our CEO and CTO.
What you'll own
- Own the impact methodology of our programs: the impact logic model, the indicator architecture, the templates founders work with, and the Impact Measurement & Management curriculum across all cohorts and partner hubs
- Coach founders and partners on their impact model: from theory of change to outcome indicators to evidence an investor will accept
- Design and own the impact methodology for our software products. You set the standards that’s going to be used acrosos the board.
- Deliver impact measurement and advisory work for organisations outside our programs (assessments, indicator development, evaluation design.
- Run the measurement of our own work: program indicators across all cohorts, the indicator sections of our funder reports, and the documentation that keeps our methodology coherent across hubs and years
Who We're Looking For
Someone who has built impact measurement in practice rather than only studied it; who can hold a methodological position with rigour and explain it plainly to a founder, a developer and a ministry official in the same week; and who enjoys standing in front of a room as much as thinking a framework through.
- A completed Master's degree in social sciences, economics, public policy, sustainability, data or a related field
- At least three years of professional experience in project or program management, including responsibility for people or teams
- Demonstrated impact measurement expertise: you have designed and applied impact logics, indicator systems or evaluation designs for real organisations; ideally in the impact, social innovation or startup-support ecosystem
- Solid quantitative footing: survey design, indicator construction, data quality. And real comfort with data; Excel is a must, R or Python and survey platforms a plus
- Experience coaching or training founders and facilitating workshops, with genuine comfort in front of a group
- Very good German and English, both at C1: our funder and partner work runs in German, our internal documentation and product work in English
- Confident with digital collaboration tools and AI-assisted workflows; we use them as standard practice across the board
- Willing to travel to partner hubs and program locations within Germany
What We Offer
- Ownership:The senior voice on impact methodology in the organisation. You set the standard; the programs, the partners and the products run against it.
- Reach:Your methodology works at three levels at once: individual ventures you coach, our proprietary software products and a national hub network
- Flexible work:Hybrid by design: two office days, three remote, flexible hours. Offices in Leipzig, Berlin and Munich, regular team days in Leipzig.
- Growth:An annual development budget and a network of impact organisations across Germany and Europe.
- Fair pay:Starting at€55,000 on a full-time basis, with a transparent progression framework reviewed as your responsibilities grow.

How to Apply
Please send us:
- Your CV
- A short motivation letter (max 1 page). We all use AI for structuring documents like this. So we know you will, too. But own the content. This should be about what you want to tell us, not what Claude thinks you should. ;-)
- One impact measurement decision you made in practice: what you chose, what you rejected, what it changed. Half a page is plenty.
- Your earliest possible start date and your preferred location (Leipzig, Berlin or Munich)
We review applications on a rolling basis, hold first conversations from mid-October and aim to decide by mid-November. The process is lean: a first conversation, a short methodology case that takes no more than half a day to prepare, then the contract conversation: all details on the table before anyone decides.
