About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior HVAC Shop Drawing Engineer with advanced hands-on expertise in Autodesk Revit (MEP) to lead and produce fully coordinated, constructible HVAC shop drawings and BIM models for major projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review detailed HVAC shop drawings using Revit MEP (Ductwork, Chilled Water piping, VRF, Equipment layouts, and Sections).
- Lead MEP spatial coordination, run clash detection tests (via Revit / Navisworks), and resolve routing conflicts with architectural, structural, and other MEP trades.
- Extract accurate builders' work (openings/sleeves) drawings and schedules directly from the BIM model.
- Prepare and manage HVAC Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs (MTO), and equipment schedules directly from Revit.
- Review design drawings, specifications, and project standards to verify constructability and code compliance (SMACNA, ASHRAE, NFPA).
- Mentor and supervise junior shop drawing engineers and draftspersons.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 to 8+ years of proven experience in HVAC shop drawings and MEP contracting.
- Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP is mandatory (Family creation, template management, and BIM workflows).
- Solid knowledge of Navisworks Manage (Clash Detection) and AutoCAD.
- Deep understanding of international standards (SMACNA, ASHRAE, NFPA) and local building codes.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for constructability.
