Role Profile:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Energy System Architect to lead the design and development of integrated Smart Building solutions across the Middle East & Africa.
- The role focuses on Building Management Systems (BMS), Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS), Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, Security & Access Control Systems, and Building IoT platforms.
- As a trusted technical expert, you will work closely with customers, consultants, sales teams, and delivery organizations to develop scalable, secure, and future-ready architecture that enable intelligent, sustainable buildings, that align with Schneider Electric’s strategic objectives.
- This role bridges business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions for smart buildings, energy efficiency, and digital transformation.
Role Responsibilities:* Design end-to-end Smart Building architectures involving:
+ Building Management Systems (BMS)
+ Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS)
+ Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
+ Access Control & Video Surveillance Systems
+ Energy Management & Building IoT platforms
- Define system integration strategies using open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, KNX, OPC UA, MQTT, and REST APIs.
- Conduct technical workshops with customers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Support bid preparation, compliance reviews, technical proposals, and solution presentations.
- Ensure cybersecurity, interoperability, scalability, and adherence to industry standards.
- Act as the technical authority for complex Smart Building solutions across multiple verticals including hospitality, commercial buildings, healthcare, data centers, airports, and smart cities.
- Support Digital Energy opportunities across English-speaking and French-speaking regions.
- Interface with international consultants, hospitality groups, developers, and end users.
- Lead technical presentations, workshops, and solution reviews.
- Collaborate with global product teams and Centers of Excellence to align regional solutions with global architecture standards.
- Support standardization of Smart Building solutions across multiple MEA countries.
What's in it for me?
- * Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Automation, Computer, or related Engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in Smart Buildings, Building Automation, or Digital Energy solutions.
- Strong expertise in BMS, GRMS, Fire, Security, and integrated building systems.
- Experience with large-scale building projects and multi-vendor integrations.
- Knowledge of OT/IP networking, cybersecurity, and open building protocols.
- Excellent customer-facing, presentation, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure solutions.
- EcoXpert, KNX, BACnet, PMP, or cybersecurity certifications are advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required. French language proficiency is considered a strong advantage.
