To maintain competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new Senior Accountant, Accounts Payable & Fixed Assets
Job purpose:
Processes and controls vendor invoices, payment runs and accruals, and maintains the fixed-asset and inventory sub-ledgers (capitalisation, depreciation, counts, disposals) of the SSC entity, so that liabilities, assets and expenses are complete and correctly recorded every month.
Acts as the single point of contact for vendor and fixed-asset queries in the audit and infront of management
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices end to end, including three-way matching against purchase orders and goods/service receipts.
- Prepare payment runs and reconcile vendor statements and accounts, resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
- Prepare and post monthly accruals and prepayments and ensure expenses are recorded in the correct period.
- Maintain the fixed-asset register: capitalisation, depreciation, transfers, disposals and periodic physical verification.
- Maintain and reconcile the inventory sub-ledger (POS devices and spare parts) to the general ledger.
- Prepare AP ageing, fixed-asset and inventory schedules for month-end close and audit.
- Act as the point of contact for vendor and fixed-asset queries from the business teams.
- Support the external audit with schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, fixed assets or general accounting.
- Good knowledge of IFRS, particularly as it applies to fixed assets, inventory and accruals.
- Hands-on experience with invoice processing, payment runs and vendor reconciliations.
- Experience maintaining a fixed-asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Very good SAP knowledge (FI/MM or equivalent modules) is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- IFRS diploma is preferred.
- Experience in a shared service or multi-entity environment is preferred.
- Experience in the Fintech/Financial Services industry is preferred.
