Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Identify, qualify, and develop service opportunities for motors, generators, alternators, DC machines, and related electrical rotating equipment across target industries.
Technical Sales: Understand customer operating conditions, failure symptoms, maintenance requirements, and service scope, and translate them into technically compliant solutions.
Site Assessment: Conduct customer visits and site surveys, gather equipment data, review specifications, and coordinate inspections with field service and workshop teams.
Proposal Development: Prepare accurate technical-commercial offers covering repair, overhaul, rewinding, testing, troubleshooting, condition monitoring, preventive maintenance, and field services.
Costing and Margin Control: Coordinate with operations, engineering, procurement, and estimation teams to validate scope, cost, lead time, risks, exclusions, and targeted gross margin before quotation.
Tender Management: Review RFQs and tender documents, manage clarifications, compile compliant submissions, and ensure proposals are completed within customer deadlines.
Negotiation and Closing: Lead technical and commercial negotiations, address customer objections, secure purchase orders or service agreements, and meet revenue and profitability targets.
Key Account Management: Build trusted relationships with maintenance, engineering, procurement, and management stakeholders; maintain regular contact and develop repeat and contract business.
Sales Pipeline and Forecasting: Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity stages, visit reports, quotation status, order forecasts, and recovery actions against assigned targets.
Order Handover and Follow-up: Provide complete commercial and technical handover to operations, monitor major jobs, support variation management, and follow up on delivery, customer satisfaction, and payment collection.
Market Intelligence: Monitor installed-base opportunities, shutdown plans, competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer investment programs to support account and market strategy.
Compliance: Ensure sales activities and commitments comply with company approval limits, contractual requirements, HSE expectations, quality standards, and ethical business practices.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of technical sales or business development experience in electrical rotating equipment services, industrial maintenance, or a closely related sector, with a demonstrated record of achieving sales targets.
Industry Exposure: Experience serving marine, oil and gas, utilities, power generation, water, or industrial customers in the UAE is preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Sound understanding of motors, generators, alternators, DC machines, bearings, insulation systems, rewinding, mechanical repair, balancing, testing, failure analysis, and field maintenance practices.
Commercial Capability: Proven ability to interpret RFQs and specifications, prepare technical-commercial proposals, build cost estimates, manage margins, negotiate terms, and close orders.
Systems: Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
