Role Description The Psychomotor Therapist at A+ Brain Care will provide assessment, treatment, and follow-up for individuals experiencing motor, emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges, using psychomotor therapy techniques. The therapist will document progress, prepare reports, and collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychotherapists, speech and language pathologists, and families to ensure coordinated care. Additional responsibilities include participating in case discussions, contributing to treatment planning, and providing psychoeducation related to psychomotor development and mental health. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Beirut.
Qualifications
- Formal training and certification in psychomotor therapy.
- Demonstrated experience in assessing and treating psychomotor, developmental, or neurodevelopmental conditions in children, adolescents, or adults.
- Strong skills in designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that integrate movement, body awareness, and sensory-motor activities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary mental health team and communicate clearly with families and caregivers.
- Excellent observation, documentation, and report-writing skills, with attention to clinical detail and confidentiality.
- High level of empathy, emotional resilience, and cultural sensitivity when working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a clinical caseload in an on-site setting.
- Proficiency in Arabic, English and French.
- Prior experience in a mental health or rehabilitation center is preferred, especially in settings involving multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical and professional standards in mental health care.
