SGP L.L.C-FZ is seeking an experienced Protection & Secondary Design Engineer to join our growing team delivering electrical distribution and grid connection projects across the UK power sector (11kV to 132kV).
üìç Location: Remote (Cairo-based candidates preferred)
✈️ Travel: Two fully funded business trips to the UAE per year
üíº Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities Develop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), protection philosophies, and protection logic diagrams. * Perform relay selection, coordination, and protection system design. * Design and integrate SCADA, RTU, and AVC systems. * Prepare detailed designs for protection and control panels, wiring schematics, and cable schedules. * Undertake CT/VT sizing and calculations for protection applications. * Deliver secondary design packages for projects ranging from 11kV to 132kV. * Liaise with DNOs, IDNOs, and other stakeholders to obtain technical approvals and resolve design queries. * Ensure compliance with relevant ENA G81, IEC, and BS* standards.
Requirements‚úÖ Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical distribution or utility projects (11kV and above)
‚úÖ Strong expertise in protection and secondary design
‚úÖ Proficiency in AutoCAD LT
‚úÖ Good understanding of UK electricity distribution standards and practices
‚úÖ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
