Job Purpose
The Group Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business, revenue growth and strategic market expansion across the Group and its various companies.
The role will focus on identifying new clients, projects, markets, partnerships and commercial opportunities while leveraging the combined capabilities of the Group's companies to create integrated business opportunities.
The position requires a strong understanding of the Saudi industrial and commercial market, excellent client relationships, commercial awareness and the ability to convert opportunities into sustainable business.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with the Group's growth objectives.
- Identify new clients, markets, projects, products and service opportunities across Saudi Arabia.
- Develop a strong pipeline of prospective projects and business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities across the Group where multiple companies can jointly provide services or solutions.
- Explore new sectors and markets that can contribute to the Group's long-term growth.
Client & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers and strategic partners.
- Build relationships with major industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, power, construction and infrastructure organizations.
- Represent the Group in client meetings, business forums, exhibitions, conferences and networking events.
- Maintain regular engagement with existing clients to identify additional business opportunities.
Projects, Tenders & Opportunities
- Monitor upcoming projects, tenders, contracts and business opportunities in relevant sectors.
- Identify and qualify potential opportunities based on commercial value, strategic importance and Group capabilities.
- Coordinate with the relevant Group companies to assess technical and commercial requirements.
- Support preparation of proposals, prequalification documents, presentations and commercial submissions.
- Follow up on submitted proposals and maintain visibility of the opportunity pipeline through contract award.
Group Synergy & Cross-Selling
- Identify opportunities to introduce one Group company's services or products to clients of another Group company.
- Develop integrated solutions by combining the capabilities of different Group companies.
- Encourage cross-business referrals and collaboration between Group companies.
- Maintain an updated understanding of the services, products, capabilities and market positioning of each Group company.
Market Intelligence
- Conduct regular market research and monitor industry developments, competitors and emerging opportunities.
- Track major projects and investments in the Kingdom, particularly within industrial, energy, infrastructure and construction sectors.
- Provide management with market intelligence, competitor information and recommendations for new business opportunities.
Commercial & Management Reporting
- Prepare periodic business development reports and opportunity pipeline updates for Group management.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, client meetings, proposals, tenders and expected business value.
- Prepare sales forecasts and business development plans.
- Monitor achievement against agreed revenue and business development targets.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Management or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Commercial or related roles.
- Strong experience in the Saudi Arabian market is required.
- Experience in industrial, construction, oil & gas, petrochemical, power, infrastructure, engineering, inspection or technical services will be highly preferred.
- Experience dealing with major contractors, industrial clients, government/semi-government entities and large corporate organizations is an advantage.
- Proven track record of generating new business and converting opportunities into contracts.
