Role Description The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo. This role oversees the daily operations of the EMR team, ensuring accurate and timely entry, updating, and management of patient records in line with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring workflow, assigning and reviewing tasks, resolving escalated record issues, and coordinating closely with medical and customer service teams to maintain data integrity. The EMR Team Lead will provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members, develop and refine documentation processes, and contribute to reporting and quality improvement initiatives. The role also involves collaborating with management on resource planning, basic budgeting considerations related to EMR activities, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications
- * Strong Customer Service skills to support internal stakeholders and external clients and handle inquiries related to EMR processes.
- Foundational Budgeting skills to assist with resource planning and operational efficiency for EMR-related activities.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication for coordinating with medical staff and cross-functional teams.
- Basic understanding of Medicine or clinical terminology to accurately interpret and manage electronic medical records.
- Training skills to onboard, coach, and upskill EMR team members and support continuous process improvement.
- Proven experience leading or supervising teams in healthcare, EMR, or similar data-intensive environments.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Comfort with EMR software systems and general office technologies; experience with healthcare IT systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Cairo and collaborate effectively in a diverse, inclusive work environment.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, IT, or a related field preferred.
