To prepare, modify, and maintain electrical drawings, shop drawings, layouts, and technical documentation for construction and engineering projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and layouts using AutoCAD and other drafting software
- Develop electrical plans for power distribution, lighting systems, earthing, cable routing, and ELV systems
- Review engineering sketches, specifications, and design information to produce accurate technical drawings
- Coordinate with engineers, project teams, consultants, and clients regarding drawing requirements and revisions
- Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic diagrams, panel layouts, and cable schedules
- Revise drawings based on site conditions, design changes, and client comments
- Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper document control procedures are followed
- Prepare material take-offs and quantities from approved drawings when required
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards
- Support project execution teams with technical drafting and documentation requirements
- Assist in preparing submission packages for consultant and client approvals
- Maintain up-to-date records of approved and revised drawings
Requirements
- * Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in construction, industrial, infrastructure, or engineering projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software
- Experience preparing electrical shop drawings and as-built drawings
- GCC experience is preferred
