Role Description The Director Private Equity is a full-time, on-site position based in New Cairo, responsible for leading and managing private equity investment strategies aligned with SOLARSOL EG’s growth objectives. This role oversees the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of investment opportunities in the solar and renewable energy sectors, including financial modeling, valuation, and structuring of deals. The Director will coordinate and lead due diligence activities, assess risks, and prepare investment memos and recommendations for senior leadership and stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing relationships with investors and financial institutions, monitoring portfolio performance, and identifying opportunities for value creation and exit strategies. The role also involves close collaboration with technical, operations, and business development teams to ensure investments support the company’s long-term strategic plan.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and risk assessment capabilities.
- Proven experience in Investments, with a track record in deal sourcing, evaluation, and portfolio management.
- Hands-on expertise in Due Diligence, including commercial, financial, legal, and technical review of potential investments.
- Solid background in Finance, preferably with exposure to corporate finance, valuation methods, and capital markets.
- Direct experience in Private Equity, especially within energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of renewable energy or solar industry dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and project finance structures is highly beneficial.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive strategic initiatives and collaborate across functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in New Cairo, with flexibility to travel for meetings, site visits, and regional engagements as needed.
