A leading logistics organization is looking for a Control Tower Officer to support day-to-day transportation operations and ensure efficient movement of shipments through real-time monitoring, coordination, and proactive issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily transportation and shipment activities through the Control Tower.
- Track trucks, containers, and shipments from dispatch through final delivery.
- Coordinate closely with drivers, transport teams, customers, terminals, and other operational stakeholders.
- Monitor trip status, delays, route deviations, and delivery performance.
- Identify operational issues and escalate delays or exceptions promptly.
- Maintain accurate shipment and trip status updates in the relevant systems.
- Support efficient vehicle utilization and transportation planning.
- Follow up on container movements, loading, unloading, and return activities.
- Prepare daily operational reports and KPI updates.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, and customer service standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics operations, fleet coordination, dispatching, or a Control Tower environment.
- Experience in container transportation or port-related logistics is highly preferred.
- Strong coordination, monitoring, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good knowledge of Excel and transportation/logistics systems.
- Good communication skills in English and Arabic.
