Role PurposeThe Content Strategist develops and manages the content strategy across the brand’s marketing channels, ensuring content is aligned with business objectives, brand positioning, customer needs, and the overall marketing plan.
Key Responsibilities
- * Content Strategy:
- Develop the overarching content strategy aligned with brand and business objectives.
- Define content pillars, themes, messaging, and audience segments.
- Identify content opportunities based on customer insights, market trends, and business priorities.
- Build monthly and quarterly content plans and editorial calendars.
- Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging across channels.
- Content Planning & Creation:
- Develop creative briefs for social media, blogs, websites, email, video, campaigns, and other marketing assets.
- Work closely with copywriters, designers, videographers, and social media teams to bring content concepts to life.
- Write or oversee the development of key messaging, campaign copy, headlines, scripts, and storytelling.
- Adapt content for different platforms and audience segments.
- Campaign & Product Support:
- Partner with Brand, Product, Performance Marketing, CRM, and Communications teams on campaigns.
- Translate product features and business objectives into customer-focused content.
- Develop content journeys across the customer funnel—from awareness through consideration, conversion, and retention.
- Ensure campaign messaging is consistent across all touchpoints.
- Audience & Market Insights:
- Research target audiences, competitors, industry trends, and cultural conversations.
- Use customer insights and performance data to identify content gaps and opportunities.
- Develop audience personas and content journeys where relevant.
- Content Performance:
- Establish content KPIs in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Monitor performance across channels.
- Analyze engagement, traffic, conversion, retention, and other relevant metrics.
- Use insights to continuously optimize the content strategy.
- Content Governance:
- Maintain content guidelines, messaging frameworks, and brand voice standards.
- Ensure content is accurate, relevant, on-brand, and appropriate for each channel.
- Manage content approval workflows and stakeholder alignment.
Required Qualifications
- * Minimum 5 years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, copywriting, or a related field.
- Strong experience developing and executing content strategies across multiple channels.
- Excellent copywriting, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of brand voice, messaging, and audience segmentation.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Brand, Product, Performance Marketing, CRM, and Communications teams.
- Strong understanding of content performance metrics and data-driven optimization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Fintech, financial services, payments, or banking experience is a plus.
