Job Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of goods while maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and food handling standards. The role ensures accurate stock management, optimal warehouse utilization, safe working conditions, and timely support to production and distribution activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations Supervision
•Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatch of materials and finished goods.
•Ensure proper work flow up according to the plan represented by the manager, as well as, sharing decisions making in the department’s management
•Ensure materials are handled and stored properly to prevent damage, contamination, or spoilage.
•Monitor workflow to ensure timely movement of goods to support production and distribution requirements.
•Ensure proper warehouse layout and space utilization for operational efficiency.
2. Team Supervision & Workforce Supervision
•Supervise warehouse staff including Warehouse Keepers, drivers, and laborers.
•Assign tasks and monitor workforce productivity to meet operational targets.
•Train staff on warehouse procedures, safety standards, and handling practices.
•Support performance monitoring and development of warehouse personnel.
3. Inventory Management & Control
•Oversee stock accuracy through cycle counts and periodic inventory audits.
•Ensure proper stock rotation practices such as FIFO or company-approved methods.
•Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
•Ensure accurate inventory records in warehouse management systems or manual records.
•Ensure products quality and data traceability after delivery.
•Reporting the records and numbers and statistical studies to the manager upon request
4. Safety, Quality & Compliance
•Enforce warehouse health, safety, and food safety standards.
•Ensure proper storage conditions, by monitoring the cold storage system, to preserve agricultural product quality.
•Monitor compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements by applying daily PRP tours and taking needed actions.
•Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
5. Coordination & Communication
•Coordinate with production, procurement, logistics, QC, and agricultural operations to ensure smooth material flow.
•Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of materials according to production or delivery schedules.
•Report operational performance and issues to management.
6. Equipment & Facility Management
•Ensure safe and proper operation of warehouse equipment and vehicles such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
•Coordinate equipment maintenance and report repair requirements.
•Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization standards.
7. Continuous Improvement
•Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
•Implement best practices to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce losses.
•Support warehouse automation or system improvement initiatives when required.
Undertake additional responsibilities as required, in line with the scope, level, and objectives of the role.
Job Requirements
• Education: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field is an advantage.
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control processes.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory tracking tools.
Familiarity with food and agricultural product storage standards.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and tracking.
Understanding of warehouse safety and compliance standards.
• Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
