Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Civil Estimation Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, BOQs, tender submissions, and commercial proposals for civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs from drawings.
- Prepare BOQs, rate analysis, and tender pricing.
- Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Calculate material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Prepare competitive commercial and technical proposals.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, procurement, and commercial teams.
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, variations, and potential cost risks.
- Prepare estimates for variations and additional works.
- Maintain cost databases and historical project rates.
- Ensure tender submissions are accurate and completed within deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in civil estimation/tendering.
- UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction works, materials, and methods.
- Good experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis, and tender pricing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
- Good knowledge of UAE construction practices and market rates.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
- Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
Skills
Fluent Arabic (spoken and written) is required.
