Position Summary
MLTP is looking for an experienced Senior System Validation & Verification Engineer to join our engineering team.
In this role, you will take a key role in defining and executing system-level validation and verification (V&V) strategies to ensure our products meet functional, performance, quality, and reliability requirements before release.
You will work closely with Software, Firmware, FPGA, Hardware, Systems, Solutions, and Deployment teams throughout the product lifecycle, driving robust validation practices, test automation, root cause analysis, and continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute system-level validation and verification strategies, methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand requirements and define validation objectives, methodologies, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, validation procedures, and regression test suites.
- Design, develop, and maintain validation frameworks, test benches, and automated testing solutions.
- Perform functional, integration, performance, reliability, and regression testing of complex systems.
- Establish and monitor validation KPIs, quality metrics, and release-readiness criteria.
- Analyze test results, identify system-level issues, and lead technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Manage and maintain test data and databases used to track validation activities, results, defects, and product quality metrics.
- Generate validation reports and clearly communicate quality status, technical risks, findings, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in requirements reviews, architecture reviews, design reviews, and technical risk assessments.
- Partner with Software, Firmware, FPGA, Hardware, Systems, Solutions, and Deployment teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Support complex customer escalations requiring in-depth technical investigation and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to product documentation, validation reports, technical documentation, and datasheets.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote strong validation practices and engineering excellence across the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in system validation and verification, test engineering, quality engineering, or a related technical role.
- Proven experience validating complex systems integrating hardware, software, firmware, and FPGA components.
- Strong understanding of validation methodologies, system testing, quality processes, and engineering best practices.
- Experience with Python, C/C++, scripting, and/or test automation frameworks.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation, debugging tools, and measurement systems.
- Good understanding of electronics and embedded systems.
- Familiarity with high-speed digital, RF, communications, instrumentation, or test and measurement products is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making.
