Business Development Manager – Sweden | Data Centres & Critical Infrastructure
If you're a commercially focused professional with experience across data centres, critical infrastructure or technically complex projects, this is an opportunity to join a growing business delivering major projects across Sweden and the wider Nordic region.
We're looking for a Business Development Manager who can operate at the intersection of commercial strategy, project delivery, finance and client relationships.
This isn't a purely sales-focused position. The role requires someone who understands the commercial realities of delivering complex projects — from cost and financial performance through change management, commercial negotiations and strategic client development.
What you'll be doing
- Support the commercial and strategic development of major projects and client relationships.
- Work closely with project, operational and commercial teams to monitor project costs, financial performance and commercial risk.
- Manage and support variations, change orders and commercial negotiations throughout project delivery.
- Track project performance against budgets, forecasts and commercial objectives.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and work with project teams to improve project outcomes.
- Develop strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to expand key accounts.
- Support commercial discussions, tenders and negotiations for new and existing projects.
- Work across internal teams to ensure commercial commitments are aligned with operational delivery.
- Provide commercial analysis and insight to support strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to the continued growth of the business across Sweden and the wider Nordic market.
What we're looking for
- Experience within data centres would be highly desirable.
- Alternatively, experience across critical infrastructure, energy, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, renewables or other technically complex project environments.
- Strong commercial and financial understanding, including cost tracking, forecasting, change management and variations.
- Experience working alongside project delivery teams on large-scale projects.
- Comfortable managing both client relationships and project-level commercial matters.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand project financials and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Experience working across the Nordic market would be particularly valuable.
- Candidates from Commercial Manager, Business Development, Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying or commercially focused Project Management backgrounds could be relevant.
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Flexibility may also be available for candidates based around Borlänge or Katrineholm.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong commercial awareness with an understanding of complex technical projects and wants to play a key role in the continued growth of a major Nordic business.
