Job Summary:
The Facility Management Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that Society Sport center facilities operate at the highest level of cleanliness, safety, functionality, and brand standard. This role oversees all aspects of facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, vendor coordination, housekeeping, and health & safety compliance to deliver a world-class member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facility Maintenance & Upkeep
- Ensure gym premises (including workout areas, locker rooms, studios, pools, and common areas) are clean, safe, and fully operational at all times.
- Monitor and manage HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring timely preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Oversee gym equipment servicing and preventive maintenance schedules.
2. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers (e.g. cleaning, pest control, AC maintenance, equipment suppliers).
- Ensure all works are performed according to contracts and UFC Gym standards.
- Review and approve service reports, quotations, and invoices.
3. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure facility complies with Qatari health and safety regulations, QFC standards (if applicable), and UFC Gym operational protocols.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Manage fire safety equipment, first aid kits, emergency exits, and evacuation drills.
4. Housekeeping Supervision
- Lead the housekeeping team and ensure consistent cleanliness throughout the gym, including frequent cleaning of high-touch areas.
- Maintain hygiene standards in line with fitness industry expectations.
5. Budget & Reporting
- Assist in preparing annual facility maintenance budgets.
- Track and report on maintenance expenditures, downtime, incidents, and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, vendor contracts, inspection reports, and licenses.
6. Asset Management
- Keep inventory of facility-related assets, tools, and consumables.
- Monitor gym equipment usage and suggest replacements or upgrades when necessary.
7. Support Event Operations
- Coordinate facility support for in-house events, classes, marketing activities, and third-party bookings.
- Ensure facility setup aligns with event needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of facility management experience, ideally in a gym, hotel, or commercial fitness environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Experience managing vendors and contractors.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic facility management software.
- Good understanding of local health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Working Conditions:
- On-site role requiring availability during gym operational hours.
- May involve weekend or early/late shift supervision.
- Physical presence in all facility areas is expected.
