Role Description The Sales Freight Forwarder role at Metalog Logistics is a full-time, on-site position based in Beirut. The person in this role will prospect and develop new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with existing clients, and promote the company’s freight forwarding and transportation services. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and following up on quotations, negotiating rates and terms with customers and carriers, and coordinating with operations teams to ensure accurate and timely execution of shipments. The Sales Freight Forwarder will handle export and forwarding documentation, track shipments, resolve service issues, and provide responsive customer support. This role also involves monitoring market trends, identifying client needs, and contributing to sales targets and overall business growth.
Qualifications
- * Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes, including Forwarding and Freight Forwarding operations.
- Experience with Export procedures and freight documentation management.
- Understanding of Freight Transportation solutions, modes, and cost structures.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to manage client inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
- Prior sales experience in logistics or a related field is highly beneficial.
- Ability to negotiate rates and terms and to develop long-term customer relationships.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple shipments and tasks simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Proficiency with common office software and, ideally, logistics or ERP systems.
- Relevant education in logistics, business, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
