We are looking to hire a VP in Enterprise Applications (Oracle) who will be responsible for providing strategic, functional and operational oversight of Oracle ERP platforms across the Group and its subsidiaries, including ERP governance, delivery, service management, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, risk and compliance, and continuous improvement for our client based in Abu Dhabi – which is one of the largest companies in the region.
The role sits within the ERP Department function and reports directly to the EVP.
We are looking for a passionate VP in Enterprise Applications (Oracle) to lead the governance, delivery and continuous improvement of Oracle ERP platforms, ensuring that ERP capabilities are secure, scalable, reliable and aligned with business priorities. You should also have strong experience in Oracle ERP leadership, enterprise applications governance, ERP delivery and service management, vendor and system integrator management, stakeholder engagement, risk and compliance, and leading technology teams in complex enterprise environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the Oracle ERP platforms roadmap, governance framework, delivery priorities and service standards in alignment with Technology & Digital strategy and business requirements.
- Provide functional and operational oversight of Oracle ERP configuration, modules, workflows, enhancements, support and business process enablement.
- Lead and develop Oracle ERP teams, setting objectives, priorities, performance measures and delivery expectations.
- Manage ERP implementation, enhancement, testing, deployment, handover and operational readiness activities, ensuring quality and agreed timelines.
- Establish and maintain ERP policies, procedures, standards, controls and governance requirements covering configuration, access, change management, data and documentation.
- Work closely with business functions, Group subsidiaries, Technology & Digital teams and senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective Oracle ERP solutions.
- Manage Oracle ERP vendors, system integrators, managed service providers and implementation partners, ensuring delivery against contractual, service, security and quality expectations.
- Oversee ERP-related risks, incidents, service issues, audit findings, control gaps and corrective actions, escalating material issues with clear recommendations.
- Ensure appropriate security, data protection, change management, business continuity and disaster recovery considerations are embedded across Oracle ERP platforms.
- Drive continuous improvement through standardisation, automation, workflow optimisation, data quality initiatives, performance analysis and user feedback.
- Provide management reporting on ERP performance, service levels, delivery milestones, risks, incidents, backlog, benefits realisation and improvement initiatives.
- Support budgeting, workforce planning, resource forecasting and prioritisation of Oracle ERP initiatives in line with approved business plans.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Capital Systems or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology, ERP or related technology domains, preferably within large-scale, government, utilities, infrastructure, waste management or service organisations.
- Strong experience managing Oracle ERP platforms across implementation, enhancement, support, governance and service management environments.
- Demonstrated experience in ERP governance, enterprise applications management, operational controls, service levels, risk management and compliance.
- Strong understanding of ERP configuration, module governance, workflow controls, testing, deployment and operational readiness.
- Proven experience managing technology vendors, system integrators, managed service providers and implementation partners.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across Finance, Procurement, Human Capital, Operations, Strategy, Technology, Cyber Security and other business functions.
- Experience leading and developing technology teams, including setting objectives, managing performance, allocating resources and building specialist capability.
- Strong understanding of information security, data protection, change management, audit requirements, business continuity and technology risk.
- Experience using performance data, automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance ERP service quality, efficiency, user adoption and business value.
- Relevant certifications such as Oracle ERP, ITIL, project management, business analysis, process improvement or functional ERP certifications would be advantageous.
