Overview Of The Role:
- The Visual Merchandiser's role is to implement and maintain the M&S brand image in-store, ensuring visual consistency and providing an inspirational shopping experience. They play a critical role in strategizing and executing visual displays both in-store and in windows, contributing to the store's advertising, marketing, and sales efforts. The role involves close collaboration with store colleagues and the Regional Visual Merchandising Manager to maintain brand consistency and meet commercial standards.
What You Will Do:
Visual Merchandising Implementation
- Accurately implement all company Visual Merchandising policies.
- Implement easy to shop store grids.
- Create well-styled mannequins in line with the styling policy.
- Use appropriate styling techniques and visual elements for customer segmentation.
- Ensure excellent visual standards across all Business Units and Windows.
Seasonal and Event Launches
- Implement seasonal launches and events on time and on brand.
- Be aware of store and company best sellers.
- Maintain an awareness of competitor activities and trends in Visual Merchandising.
- Work and communicate regularly with store colleagues and Regional VM Manager to ensure brand consistency.
- Deliver effective seasonal launches and events.
Window Display and Corporate Initiatives
- Implement window display guidelines on time and on brand.
- Ensure effective implementation of corporate initiatives in stores.
- Maintain and adhere to VM checklists.
- Execute marketing initiatives in stores.
- Liaise with Store Managers daily for updates on VM processes and requirements.
Skills

What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in sales, marketing, or a related field.
- Postgraduate degree in marketing, visual merchandising, or retailing with 2–5 years of related experience.
- 3+ years of experience in visual merchandising.
- Exhibiting leadership, strong business acumen, and communication skills with partners at all levels.
