Role Description The Vice President Business Development & Operations (Government Contracting) is a full-time, on-site role based in Dunn, NC. This leader will oversee business development activities, including identifying new government contract opportunities, shaping capture strategies, and guiding proposal development. The role includes managing day-to-day operational performance, ensuring contract compliance, optimizing processes, and coordinating cross-functional teams to meet customers and regulatory requirements. The Vice President will build and maintain key relationships with government agencies and partners, negotiate agreements, and monitor financial and operational metrics to drive profitable growth. This position will also mentor staff, refine business plans, and align strategic initiatives with the company’s long-term objectives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in New Business Development and Sales within government contracting or related industries.
- Strong skills in Business Planning and strategic growth initiatives, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation with public sector entities and experience managing contract terms and conditions.
- Background in Account Management, including maintaining and expanding relationships with key government clients.
- Proven leadership experience managing operations, teams, and complex projects in a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of government contracting processes, procurement regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Dunn, NC and collaborate effectively across functions in a fast-paced setting.
