Role Description The Tendering Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Muscat, responsible for managing the end-to-end tender process for the company. Day-to-day tasks include identifying relevant tender opportunities, reviewing tender documents, coordinating internal inputs, and preparing complete, compliant proposals and bids. The role involves close collaboration with procurement, operations, finance, and management to gather technical and commercial information, clarify requirements, and ensure timely submission of tenders. The Tendering Specialist analyzes tender specifications, evaluates risks, maintains tender records, and supports negotiations and post-tender follow-ups. This position also contributes to improving tendering procedures, maintaining up-to-date market and competitor information, and supporting business development activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Tender Management and Procurement skills, including experience in handling RFQs, RFPs, and bid submissions.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret tender requirements, evaluate financial and technical implications, and perform cost and pricing analysis.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact professionally with external stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess proficient Proposal Writing skills, including the ability to produce clear, accurate, and well-structured technical and commercial documents.
- Relevant experience in industrial, manufacturing, or services sectors, particularly in tendering or contracts, is highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field is preferred, along with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Word and Excel) and familiarity with tendering or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work under deadlines in an on-site team environment are essential.
