Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to own the product lifecycle end-to-end, from concept and roadmap through design, development, launch, and continuous improvement.
The role acts as the key link between business stakeholders, designers, developers, and leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring that the product is clearly defined, effectively delivered, launched successfully, and continuously improved based on user feedback and data.
This is a product management and delivery role, not a hands-on design or software development position.
The role also includes a limited set of basic IT administrative responsibilities, such as user account support and Microsoft 365 administration. More advanced IT, security, compliance, backup, and infrastructure matters are managed by an external IT provider.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Roadmap
- * Define and maintain the product roadmap in line with company objectives.
- Translate business and user needs into clear product requirements, specifications, and user stories.
- Prioritize the product backlog and make informed decisions regarding scope, timeline, and quality.
- Define success metrics for product features and launches.
Design & Development Management
- * Brief and coordinate internal or external designers and development teams.
- Scope, prioritize, and sequence product development work.
- Conduct regular check-ins, sprint reviews, and progress meetings.
- Review deliverables to ensure they meet product requirements and quality standards.
- Evaluate external vendors, development agencies, freelancers, and SaaS tools where required.
Technical Product Management
- * Maintain a strong understanding of the product's technology stack, APIs, and system architecture.
- Communicate effectively with developers and technical teams.
- Assess development estimates, technical requirements, and potential implementation challenges.
- Support technical decision-making without being responsible for writing production code.
QA, Launch & Delivery
- * Coordinate QA activities and prepare test cases where required.
- Manage bug tracking and prioritization.
- Review and approve releases before launch.
- Coordinate product launches across development, design, marketing, operations, and other stakeholders.
- Support data entry, content population, configuration, and other operational tasks when required.
Data & Continuous Improvement
- * Monitor product performance and relevant success metrics.
- Conduct post-launch reviews and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use data, feedback, and learnings to continuously improve the product roadmap.
Stakeholder Communication
- * Provide clear and accurate updates on product progress, priorities, risks, and timelines.
- Act as the communication bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure stakeholders have clear visibility on product status and upcoming priorities.
Light IT Support
- * Support employees with basic account access, password resets, and hardware/software issues.
- Manage basic Microsoft 365 user administration, including adding/removing users and managing groups and mailbox permissions.
- Monitor domain registrations and SSL renewal alerts.
- Maintain a basic record of company laptops and devices.
- Escalate security, compliance, backup, disaster recovery, and other advanced IT matters to the external IT provider.
Requirements
- * 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Program Management, or a similar role.
- Proven experience managing internal or external design and development teams.
- Strong technical understanding and ability to communicate effectively with engineers and developers.
- Ability to understand system architecture, APIs, and technical requirements.
- Strong project management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean, and ambiguous environment.
- Willingness to take ownership of both strategic and hands-on operational tasks when required.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft 365 administration or willing to learn.
- Experience working in an early-stage startup or lean team is preferred.
Nice to Have
- * Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Basic SQL or scripting knowledge.
- Previous experience working with external development agencies or technical vendors.
- Experience managing digital products from concept through launch.
