Job Purpose
To support the Competent Authority’s obligations in Exchange of Information on Request (EOIR) and Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI), as well as treaty-based cooperation, by processing incoming and outgoing information exchange requests in accordance with international standards, applicable domestic laws and regulations, and approved internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial screening of information exchange requests to ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements, including the foreseeable relevance principle, scope of the request, and confidentiality requirements.
- Prepare draft responses and supporting documentation for review and approval.
- Receive, review, and process information exchange requests from foreign competent authorities under Double Taxation Agreements (DTAs), Tax Information Exchange Agreements (TIEAs), and multilateral agreements.
- Contribute to key performance indicators (KPIs), including turnaround times and quality standards.
- Strictly comply with confidentiality, data protection, and information security requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and relevant local authorities to obtain the required information within established timelines.
- Maintain accurate case management records, audit trails, and statistics for reporting purposes.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor.
- Support the implementation of other operational activities related to Exchange of Information on Request (EOIR) and other information exchange activities, as required.
