Role Description The Tax Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Heliopolis, responsible for managing the organization’s tax-related activities and supporting overall financial health. This role includes preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring tax compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate tax records. The Tax Accountant will analyze financial statements, assist with accounting entries, and collaborate with management to optimize tax positions and identify potential savings while mitigating risk. Daily tasks involve reviewing documentation, reconciling accounts, preparing reports for internal stakeholders, and supporting audits or tax inspections as needed. The role also requires close coordination with finance and operations teams to ensure timely, accurate financial and tax information.
Qualifications
- Strong tax expertise, including Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and general Tax knowledge, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in Accounting principles and practices, including handling ledgers, journal entries, and supporting routine financial operations.
- Experience working with Financial Statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, and the ability to analyze and reconcile financial data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, tax specialization) are an advantage.
- High attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence with accounting and tax software, as well as standard office applications (e.g., spreadsheets and reporting tools).
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
- Previous experience in healthcare, wellness, or service-oriented industries is a plus, along with familiarity with local tax laws and regulations.
