Summary
He/she oversees and manages planning operations, ensuring efficient coordination between design, production, and CAM departments. The role focuses on project timelines, resource allocation, cost-effectiveness, and production quality. It requires strong knowledge of machining operations, manufacturing methods, layout planning, routing sheets, SOPs, and process flows.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production plans, schedules, and timelines based on project priorities and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with design and CAM departments to review mold requirements, manufacturing methods, and production feasibility.
- Monitor daily production progress and compare actual performance against planned schedules.
- Analyze production capacity, machine loading, manpower allocation, and bottlenecks to optimize productivity.
- Coordinate with production manager to ensure smooth workflow between CNC Milling, CNC Lathe, EDM, Assembly, and related divisions.
- Follow up on material availability, outsourced work, and purchasing requirements to avoid production delays.
- Identify production risks and implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly planning and production reports.
- Monitor lead times and propose improvement initiatives to reduce delays and increase efficiency.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and machine downtime planning with the maintenance department.
- Support cost estimation, time studies, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Ensure planning activities comply with company procedures and quality management system requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization projects.
Qualifications
- Degree: Industrial or mechanical Engineering degree.
- Language: Excellent command of English both spoken and written.
- Experience: +7 years of experience in manufacture industry. +3 years of experience in senior role.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid knowledge of APS system, machining processes (e.g., milling, turning, EDM), and routing principles for mold and component manufacturing.
