- Portfolio Development: Build and manage a robust portfolio of freight forwarding clients by transitioning an existing book of business or actively hunting new commercial opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary, high-touch point of contact for clients to ensure exceptional satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Operational Liaison: Lead client interactions while seamlessly coordinating with the internal backend operations team to execute shipments.
- Pipeline Growth: Continuously source new freight movement opportunities and expand your client book across diverse lanes and modalities.
- Service Delivery Collaboration: Partner closely with the internal operations team to ensure smooth, efficient, and reliable service delivery from port to final mile.

- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in U.S. freight transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Industry Network: Established, active relationships with exporters/importers or a highly verifiable, transferable client portfolio in the freight industry.
- Autonomy: Proven ability to work successfully as an independent contractor with self-directed, highly motivated business development strategies.
- Sales Acumen: Exceptional sales, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
- Financial Literacy: Deep understanding of freight operations, standard industry pricing structures, and accurate margin calculations.
- Remote Capability: Ability to operate efficiently in a fully remote capacity with minimal day-to-day operational involvement, keeping your core focus on client-facing growth.

- Global Connections: Existing networks or connections with exporters from high-volume trade countries into the United States, such as Latin America, Mexico, China, India, Turkey, and South Africa.
