Role PurposeThe Presales Engineer will support the sales team across all stages of the sales cycle by providing technical and commercial expertise, solution design, proposal preparation, evaluating project requirements, cost estimation and tender submission, and conducting customer presentations for Low Current Systems projects. The role will bridge customer requirements and technical solutions ensuring all proposed solutions comply with customer requirements and industry standards.
Job Accountabilities & Activities
Solution Design & Technical Presales:
- * Analyze customer requirements, specifications, drawings and tender documents.
- Design integrated Low Current and security solutions.
- Prepare system architecture drawings, network diagrams, and technical submittals.
- Develop compliance statements and technical responses to tenders.
- Conduct site surveys and provide technical recommendations
Tendering, Estimation & Proposal:
- * Prepare BOQs, cost estimates and pricing worksheets.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain quotations.
- Prepare complete technical and commercial proposals.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders and bids.
- Maintain proposal documentation and revision control.
Customer Engagement & Technical Presentations:
- * Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions and presentations.
- Conduct product demonstrations and workshops.
- Respond to technical queries raised by customers, consultants and end users.
- Support the sales team during negotiations and bid clarifications
Project Handover & Business Support:
- * Participate in project handover meetings.
- Provide technical clarification to project execution teams.
- Assist in value engineering and solution optimization.
- Support business development initiatives and market intelligence activities
Education & Certifications
- * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering OR Electronics Engineering,
or equivalent.
- PMP certification is an advantage.
Required Years Of Experience
- * Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in Low Current Systems, ELV Systems
- Experience in Presales, Design Engineering or Solution Engineering roles.
- Experience in banking, government, healthcare, commercial and critical infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of tendering processes and project lifecycle management.
