Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor the installation of electrical systems on-site, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, ELV, Low current and other specialized systems.
- Ensure electrical works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, HTM).
- Conduct site inspections and verify work progress and quality in accordance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth site operations.
- Review and comment on shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for compliance with design intent and project specifications.
- Monitor site testing and commissioning activities and ensure adherence to safety protocols and QA/QC procedures.
- Prepare daily/weekly site reports highlighting progress, issues, and potential delays, and report to the construction/project manager.
- Attend project meetings, site walk-throughs, and inspections with stakeholders and authorities as required.
- Support the handover process by ensuring punch lists and final testing/ commissioning activities are completed to standard.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local authority regulations, and environmental and safety standards.
Required qualifications and years of experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized institution.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Strong understanding of electrical system requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical installation practices, materials, and testing procedure.
- Familiarity with local UAE codes, DEWA, TAQA/ADDC, SEWA and international standards.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and installation details.
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
- Ability to manage site activities efficiently under pressure while ensuring quality and safety.
- Membership or certification with a recognized engineering body is preferred.
- Experience working under FIDIC contracts and in coordination with supervision consultants is a plus.
- UAE driving license is an advantage
