Company overview
B2 Connect is a Dubai-based managed service provider specialising in the design, deployment and operation of high-density WiFi, internet, ELV and security infrastructure. The company delivers connectivity for major live events, including international sporting events, music festivals, cultural celebrations and conferences, and for some of the largest residential complexes in the UAE.
Position summary
The Site Coordinator is the main point of contact on site between B2 Connect's internal teams, its subcontractors and the client. As the first team member to arrive and the last to leave, the Site Coordinator keeps each project on schedule and on budget and makes sure it runs to the client's satisfaction.
This is an opportunity for an energetic events professional to take part in some of the top sports and entertainment events in the region. Outside the main UAE event season, the role may move into business development: maintaining relationships with event agencies, contractors and suppliers, and positioning B2 Connect for upcoming events. It may also support projects at large residential complexes.
Key responsibilities
Coordination and communication
- Attend the client's daily project coordination meetings and represent B2 Connect on site.
- Update internal teams and subcontractors on schedule changes, priorities and deliverables, based on construction progress and client requirements.
- Report daily progress to the client and to B2 Connect management, including completed work, open items and upcoming activities.
- Act as the single point of contact for all site-related communication, so that information flows accurately and on time between all parties.
Planning and site access
- Obtain access permits, work permits, gate passes and pre-approvals needed for each day's activities.
- Make sure all team members and subcontractors have completed the required health and safety training, site inductions and certifications before they are given site access.
- Plan and sequence daily work with the technical teams so that labour, equipment and access windows are used well.
- Coordinate the delivery, storage and security of equipment and materials on site.
- Liaise with venue operators, production teams and other contractors on shared areas, power availability and cable routes.
Commercial control
- Identify and document variations to the agreed scope of work.
- Get written client approval for any variation that affects billing before the work is carried out.
- Communicate approved variations to the internal teams and keep a record for invoicing.
Issue resolution and quality
- Carry out daily site inspections to review the quality of completed work, and report any point that does not meet B2 Connect's safety and quality standards or the client's expectations.
- Manage and resolve conflicts or misunderstandings between the client, subcontractors and internal teams professionally.
- Escalate risks to management early, especially those affecting schedule, budget or safety.
- Maintain snag lists, follow up on corrective actions and coordinate final handover and client sign-off.
Health, safety and compliance
- Make sure all B2 Connect staff and subcontractors follow site safety rules, PPE requirements and client procedures.
- Hold site safety briefings, and keep method statements and risk assessments up to date and available on site.
Business development (outside the event season)
- Maintain and grow relationships with event agencies, production companies, contractors and suppliers.
- Identify upcoming events and tender opportunities, and support the preparation of proposals and pitches.
- Collect lessons learned from past events to strengthen future bids and delivery.
Working conditions
This is a fully on-site role during event projects. Working hours follow the schedule set by the client and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays, particularly during load-in, live days and load-out. Work is regularly outdoors. Compensatory days off may be granted when project requirements exceed 12 working hours per day.
