Role Description This temporary, hybrid role is based in Beirut Governorate, Lebanon, with flexibility for some work from home. The Senior Detergent Manufacturing & Formulation Consultant (Liquid Line) will guide the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of liquid detergent formulations across a range of applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing existing formulas, designing and testing new compositions, supervising pilot and production trials, and ensuring product performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. The consultant will work closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to improve process efficiency, reduce costs, and standardize production methods. The role also involves documenting technical procedures, training operational staff, advising on raw material selection, and providing data-driven recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications
- * Demonstrated expertise in Manufacturing, particularly in liquid detergent production processes and scale-up from lab to plant.
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management, including raw material planning, inventory optimization, and vendor coordination.
- Hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced understanding of surfactant chemistry, formulation science, and quality control methods for household or industrial cleaning products.
- Ability to analyze production data, identify root causes of issues, and implement practical process improvements.
- Excellent documentation, technical writing, and communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor cross-functional teams.
- Previous consulting or senior-level operational experience in detergents, chemicals, or FMCG manufacturing is highly beneficial.
- Relevant university degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or closely related field; postgraduate specialization is an advantage.
