The Senior UI/UX Designer is a strategic leader responsible for shaping the user experience of the company's software ecosystem. This role involves leading the end-to-end design process, from user research to final implementation, with a focus on transforming complex requirements into simple and intuitive solutions. The position requires mentoring other designers, driving the overall design vision, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric products.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design Leadership:
- Define the Vision: Lead the evolution of our product's visual and interactive identity, ensuring it aligns with user needs and business objectives.
- Champion User-Centricity: Act as the primary advocate for the user, leveraging research and data to inform design decisions and influence product strategy.
- Mentor & Elevate: Guide and mentor other designers on the team, fostering a culture of design excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning through critiques and coaching.
- Own the Design System: Lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of our comprehensive design system (Figma libraries, UI patterns, style guides) to ensure
UX Vision & Simplicity:
- Lead UX Strategy: Define, document, and champion a clear UX vision and a set of principles that prioritizes effortless usability and simplicity across all product initiatives.
- Champion Simplicity: Act as the lead advocate for reducing complexity, actively auditing intricate workflows and transforming them into intuitive, frictionless user experiences.
- Translate Complexity into Clarity: Master the art of translating complex business requirements and user data into clean, simple, and highly usable interfaces that minimize cognitive load.
- Set the Standard for Excellence: Establish and govern the standards for UX quality, ensuring all design work meets a high bar for clarity, efficiency, and ease of use.
Research & Discovery:
- Conduct User Research: Plan and execute a variety of research methods, including user interviews, surveys, and usability tests, to uncover deep insights into user behaviors and pain points.
- Synthesize Findings: Create user personas, journey maps, and empathy maps to translate research findings into actionable design principles and product requirements.
- Analyze the Market: Conduct competitive analysis and stay current with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
Design & Prototyping:
- Create End-to-End Designs: Develop comprehensive design artifacts, including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Craft Intuitive Interactions: Design intuitive and seamless user interactions and micro-interactions that enhance usability and delight users.
- Iterate and Validate: Use data and user feedback to rapidly iterate on designs, and conduct A/B testing to validate design solutions.
AI-Powered Design & Innovation:
- Leverage AI Tools: Utilize generative AI and other smart tools to accelerate the design workflow, from brainstorming and concept generation to creating design assets and UX copy.
- Drive Efficiency: Explore and implement emerging AI technologies to streamline repetitive tasks, enhance data analysis, and create more personalized user experiences.
- Stay at the Forefront: Act as a thought leader on the ethical and effective use of AI in design, championing innovative approaches that push the boundaries of our product's capabilities.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in product design (UI/UX), with a strong portfolio demonstrating your work on complex web applications, preferably in a SaaS or B2B environment.
- Expertise in modern design tools, particularly Figma, for creating wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and scalable design systems.
- Deep understanding of the full design process, from discovery research and user journey mapping to detailed UI and interaction design.
- Proven ability to translate complex problems and user data (both qualitative and quantitative) into simple, elegant, and effective design solutions.
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate your design rationale to stakeholders, engineers, and product managers.
- Experience mentoring junior designers and leading design critiques.
