Role Description The Senior Technical Office Engineer (Architect) is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, Egypt. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating architectural shop drawings, ensuring compliance with design specifications and project standards. The Senior Technical Office Engineer collaborates with civil and electrical engineering teams, site engineers, and project managers to resolve technical issues and align design documents with actual site conditions. Daily tasks include participating in quantity surveying activities, supporting BOQ preparation and verification, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and drafting staff. The role also involves maintaining documentation, following project timelines, and contributing to quality control and adherence to local building codes and regulations.
Qualifications
- * Ability to prepare, review, and coordinate Shop Drawings with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Experience in BOQ preparation, verification, and coordination with procurement and cost control teams.
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering concepts related to building structures and site coordination.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering requirements to ensure proper integration in architectural designs.
- Proficiency in Quantity Surveying, including measurement, cost estimation, and validation of completed works.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Strong proficiency in CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and MS Office tools.
- Solid knowledge of local building codes, standards, and construction practices in Egypt.
- Proven experience in technical office or design coordination roles, preferably in large-scale or complex projects.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
