Role Description The Senior Technical Office Architecture Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and coordinating architectural shop drawings, ensuring alignment with design intent, codes, and project specifications. The engineer will coordinate with civil and electrical engineering teams, validate quantities and BOQs, and support quantity surveying activities to ensure accurate cost estimates and material take-offs. Daily responsibilities include resolving technical issues with site teams, participating in project meetings, updating technical documentation, and supporting project managers with reports and progress tracking. The role also requires close collaboration with clients, consultants, and contractors to maintain quality standards and project timelines.
Qualifications
* Strong architectural technical office skills, including preparation and review of shop drawings and coordination with design teams.
* Experience working alongside Civil Engineering teams to integrate structural and architectural requirements.
* Ability to coordinate with Electrical Engineering teams to ensure architectural layouts support MEP systems.
* Proficiency in Quantity Surveying and BOQ preparation, including accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
* Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related engineering discipline.
* Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM tools).
* Solid knowledge of local building codes, construction standards, and project management practices.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work on-site in New Cairo, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
* Previous experience in senior technical office or similar architectural engineering roles within Egypt is highly beneficial.
