We're recruiting a Senior Software engineer with Storage experience for our client in Stockholm.
The Position
You’ll be working with a fast growing AI infra company and work on the storage layer that every workload on the platform depends on. The data is large and spread across multiple locations, and the challenge is getting it to where it’s needed quickly, keeping it durable, and running it cost-effectively. The role spans the full stack, from the local machine up to distributed storage across clouds.
What you’ll work on
- Caching and prefetching that hide the latency of remote data
- Replication across storage providers and regions
- Large-scale garbage collection and data lifecycle management
- Reducing data transfer costs between machines and locations
- On-call for the systems you build
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering
- Experience building distributed storage or caching systems at scale
- Deep working knowledge of object storage and CDNs, including their performance, consistency and cost trade-offs
- Comfortable working close to the operating system: Linux internals, file systems, page cache, containers
- Happy to work from the Stockholm office
- Fluent English Speaker
Nice to have: Rust programming and operating very large datasets, or large-scale data migrations.
