At Jacobs, we push the limits of what is possible to make the world smarter and more connected. We are seeking a Senior MEP Engineer to join our team at NEOM and provide technical leadership for the completion, commissioning, and handover of a major water infrastructure project.
About The OpportunityLead the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) completion activities for a major water project entering its close-out phase. Working closely with project teams, contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders, you will ensure MEP systems are successfully installed, tested, commissioned, documented, and handed over in accordance with project requirements. This role will focus on construction completion, punch list closure, defect resolution, operational readiness, and handover activities to support the successful delivery and close out of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead MEP completion and close-out activities across water infrastructure assets and facilities.
- Monitor contractor progress against completion schedules and handover milestones.
- Coordinate the resolution of technical issues, defects, NCRs, RFIs, and punch list items.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, system integration, and performance verification activities.
- Review commissioning documentation, test records, completion dossiers, and turnover packages.
- Ensure all MEP installations comply with approved specifications, project requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Coordinate handover activities, including as-built documentation, asset registers, O&M manuals, training records, and warranty documentation.
- Act as the primary technical interface between contractors, consultants, operations teams, and client representatives during project close out.
- Support quality inspections, operational readiness reviews, and final acceptance processes.
- Promote safety, technical excellence, and compliance with project procedures, regulatory requirements, and HSE standards.
Here's what you'll need
- Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP Engineering on major infrastructure, utilities, water, wastewater, industrial, or construction projects.
- Technical Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, utility, pumping, water treatment, power distribution, HVAC, fire protection, testing & commissioning, and handover processes.
- Digital Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, BIM platforms, document management systems, and digital project delivery environments.
- Project & Commercial Contractor management, project delivery, change management, risk management, commissioning coordination, and project close-out activities.
- Behavioral Leadership, stakeholder management, communication, problem solving, decision making, collaboration, and mentoring mindset.
- Education Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
