The Role
You are the technical voice of IMG in front of the customer. You diagnose the application before recommending equipment, size the right solution, and own the opportunity from first visit to signed order and handover. We sell solutions, not catalog items.
Key Responsibilities
1. Discovery and solution design
- Qualify each opportunity: application, load profile, site conditions, decision-makers, budget, and timing.
- Conduct site surveys and perform load and generator sizing calculations.
- Design complete solutions combining generator sets, panels, enclosures, fuel systems, and service contracts.
2. Proposals and closing
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, compliance sheets, and tender responses.
- Defend value on lifecycle cost, warranty, service response, and engineering support before discounting price.
- Negotiate terms and close orders in line with margin targets.
3. Pipeline and accountability
- Build and manage a pipeline across industrial, commercial, institutional, healthcare, telecom, and residential segments.
- Record every visit and opportunity in the CRM. Each visit ends with a specific next action, an owner, and a date.
- Deliver accurate monthly forecasts and pipeline reviews.
4. Account growth
- Develop key accounts and consultants, contractors, and facility managers who specify power equipment.
- Cross-sell rental, maintenance contracts, spare parts, and panel upgrades to the installed base.
5. Handover and coordination
- Hand won orders to operations and the workshop with a complete technical scope.
- Support testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance with the service team.
- Feed market, competitor, and pricing intelligence back to management and marketing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- 3–6 years in technical sales, project sales, or application engineering for generators, power systems, or electrical equipment.
- Solid grasp of diesel generator sets, alternators, ATS and synchronization, LV panels, and load sizing.
- Proven record of preparing proposals and closing B2B deals with contractors, consultants, or end users.
- Ability to read single-line diagrams and technical specifications.
- Fluent Arabic and English; French is a plus.
- Valid Lebanese driving license and willingness to travel across Lebanon.
Preferred
- Experience with tenders for public institutions, NGOs, or international organizations.
- Familiarity with engine brands such as Perkins, Cummins, Volvo Penta, or equivalent.
- CRM experience (Dynamics 365, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Exposure to hybrid, solar-diesel, or energy-monitoring solutions.
The Person We Want
- Asks the right questions before proposing an answer.
- Explains engineering in the customer's language.
- Follows through: no opportunity is left at "follow up later".
- Protects margin by selling value, not price.
What We Offer
- Competitive fixed salary plus performance-based commission.
- Structured onboarding through the IMG Sales & Product Training Program.
- Direct access to IMG's workshop, engineering, and service teams.
- A brand trusted by Lebanon's leading institutions since 1978.
